Judy Bass
Music Writer
Judy Bass has had a lifelong passion for writing, which has been the foundational element in just about every professional role she has held. She holds a bachelor's degree in English and has been a speechwriter, a communications specialist for two regional high schools, a digital content creator, a copywriter, and a communications consultant. Her articles have appeared in Boston Magazine, the Boston Herald, and other national, regional, and local publications. Judy loves writing about celebrities and adores vintage films from Hollywood's Golden Age. The last book she read was Barbra Streisand's memoir; she thoroughly enjoyed it. Her favorite film is "The Godfather," which she has seen more times than she can count.
Videos by Wide Open Country
She loves writing about celebrities, human interest articles and country music for WOC. Some of the stories she is particularly proud of include one on the history of country music, one on a man who battled back from a devastating farm accident to lead a full life, and another one on the poignant reconciliation between Art Garfunkel and Paul Simon. Judy was thrilled to interview the Bellamy Brothers and Luke Grimes of Yellowstone and she hopes to do more such interviews in the future.
