Mariah Carey Cancels Concert At Last Minute After Falling Ill

That time of year is rolling around once again, when everyone starts to get a runny nose, and the sick days start to pile in. For most, it's just an inevitable nuisance, but for Marah Carey, Queen of Christmas, getting ill has become somewhat of an occupational hazard, forcing her to cancel a concert.

Mariah has a huge library of tunes, but few are as famous as All I Want For Christmas Is You. It is drilled into every earhole in the West like some kind of banned torture method. It's impossible to step outside the house without hearing it.

Due to our obsession with Mariah Carey during the festive season, the demand for her performances skyrockets. But, it's the coldest time of year, and her outfits are hardly the most thermally protective, even if they are slamming. Cold and constant concert appearances have combined, and Mariah Carey has been forced to cancel her Pittsburgh concert due to being ill.

Carey Was Ill With The Flu Just Hours Before Concert

Mariah Carey let the world know she was feeling ill just hours before her Pitsburg concert. In a deeply apologetic Tweet, she let them down gently. "Pittsburgh, I am sorry to say, I've come down with the flu. It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight's show. I love you all so much." she apologized.

It's the season for sickness, so it is completely understandable. This is a crazy time of year for Carey as she tours everyone's favorite Christmas earworm. Despite Carey canceling her concert last minute due to being ill with the flu, fans are still supportive. One in particular was especially keen to show off their outfit.

As it currently stands, there is no reschedule of the canceled show in Pitsburg. The flu can be a nasty one, and there is no telling when it will end. It's best to just wait, rather than letting fans down twice. Carey is loved enough to cancel one concert because she is ill, but two would be pushing it. We don't want a riot on our hands.
