In case anyone's forgotten, Jelly Roll wasn't always a country singer. He used to rap, and in that time, he had a collab with Uncle Kracker.

Uncle Kracker visited Taste of Country Nights On Demand and told them about the time they did a song together. It turns out they're still friends, and remain in contact.
Kracker and Evan Paul, the host, got talking about how the artist now lives in Nashville. It wasn't the first time he's been to the country capital, however, which leads us to his story about Jelly Roll.
"Jelly Roll is a great cat, known him for years. I did a song with Jelly Roll like 10 years ago," he said. This was 2014, so Mr Roll was still rapping.
Kracker continued, "I remember Jelly Roll showed up on my bus, I was in L.A. on tour. I just remember, I think we were in Vegas the night before, so that morning was late. I hear a knock on the door, and it was Jelly Roll, and I don't know if it was his manager at the time or not."
They just come on the bus, and they start talking. I just remember Jelly Roll like stopped his manager dude, like in his tracks, and he was like, 'All right, stop.'"
Jelly Roll Bluntly Asked Uncle Kracker To Collab With Him
Jelly Roll took over the conversation and simply said that he needed Uncle Kracker to "get on this track with me."
All he said was "done," and they got to work.
"I just loved how he shut his manager up at the time and was like, 'Enough with the schmooze.'" Yeah, that's him alright.
The fruits of their labor would be "Sunday Morning," a pretty popular song that I feel most have forgotten about. It reeks of the 2014 vibe, but with nostalgia for those times being pretty high at the moment, I don't think that's a bad thing.
Both artists are continuing to produce music, although Jelly Roll has enjoyed the limelight recently. He's a pretty open book, from his marriage to his weight struggles, which is likely appealing to his many fans.
