Ella Langley Lists Country Icons As Important Influences For Upcoming Album

Ella Langley is emerging as one of the big country artists to watch in 2025. "You Look Like You Love Me" became a massive hit in country music, a cute, funny duet with Riley Green. Her debut album Hungover also shows a ton of potential without sacrificing too much of her winning personality. Usually, an artist might milk that record a little longer and really sink in creatively. However, it seems like she's already cooking up ideas for what's next. Apparently, Ella is going old school too.

Recently, Ella went on the God's Country podcast to promote her debut album and her big hit with Riley Green. There, she reveals that she's already hard at work on her next album. Additionally, Langley shares what she has so far in the creative process. "I'm really excited about where I'm going next. I have the title for the next record, I have the music video planned out, I have the creative for it pretty much done. It's really organically fallen out... I'm really just letting God take the wheel, honestly," she says.

Additionally, Ella wishes to give her fans a closer understanding of who she is as a woman, not just an artist. Moreover, she discloses which artists she's studying to enhance her songwriting. It seems like Langley's going back to the classics. "So, with this next record, I kinda wanna show that side a little more of me. The Alabama, who is Ella Langley, not just the songwriter or the artist, but the human being," the rising star says. I've made this  whole playlist I listen to everyday of reference tracks just to kinda get me in the headspace of where I want it. It's gonna be groovy, country... I've been listening to a lot of Ronnie Milsap, if that gives you any indication, a lot of George Jones."

I already thought Ella had potential but this is incredibly intriguing stuff on the horizon. I'm looking forward to seeing how it unfurls.
