How did we get to this point where the 'Hawk Tuah' girl is dishing out cryptocurrency? To think this all begins with a random street interview where Haliey Welch makes an initially funny sex joke. Now she's one of the prominent podcasters, appearing at Zach Bryan concerts, and apparently a pivot towards crypto. She launched a new meme coin $HAWK to continue pushing her strange 'Hawk Tuah' branding.

However, it didn't take long for everything to blow up in Welch's face. The coin tanks almost immediately, causing suspicion amongst unsuspecting buyers. They allege that the value was being artificially inflated and sold immediately afterward to maximize profit. For the avid crypto audience, it seemed like Haliey was essentially scamming them. Currently, investors are suing the people behind the Tuah The Moon Foundation but not Welch herself. Now she's coming out of hiding to address the mess.
Haliey Welch Makes a Mess In The World of Cryptocurrency
Recently, Haliey took to Twitter to tackle the crypto controversy she's grappling with at the moment. She's taking a very professional stance in this situation and looks to help anyone impacted by the incident.
"I take this situation extremely seriously and want to address my fans, the investors who have been affected, and the broader community. I am fully cooperating with and am committed to assisting the legal team representing the individuals impacted, as well as to help uncover the truth, hold the responsible parties accountable, and resolve this matter. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'll ever hold too much sympathy for people buying something called '$HAWK' in earnest. It's already disorienting to have to write in earnest about by the 'Hawk Tuah' girl at all, let alone people getting scammed. Hopefully, people can shake off this whole fad now that it's hardly funny anymore.
