After 15 seasons on-air on CBS, The Talk daytime show has come to an end. In an emotional goodbye, host Jerry O'Connell, who is also an actor known for his roles in Sliders and Scream 2, was moved to tears as he thanked the crew and his fellow co-hosts.

"I just wanted to know why everyone is being so nice today?" O'Connell said, jokingly, according to USA Today. He, alongside co-hosts, Sheryl Underwood, Amanda Kloots, Akbar Gbajabiamila, and Natalie Morales, was received with cheers and a standing ovation.
Eventually, O'Connell began reminiscing alongside his co-hosts, expressing his gratitude. "When I came here to 'The Talk,' and I'm so grateful to everyone along the way who let me be here, I had been a substitute teacher on daytime talk shows," O'Connell recalled.
"I thought I knew everything, and I got here, and I really want to thank the audience for really teaching me. Not only the audience at home but the audience here, who taught me what it takes," O'Connell continued. He would tell how he "jumped out of his seat" after watching his first episode. He then specifically thanked Sheryl Underwood for the advice she gave to him back in the day.
"You've been a real love," O'Connell said. At that moment, the rest of the co-hosts joined in. They all expressed their love and gratitude to each other, some even in tears.
A Touching Moment
While O'Connell's words were emotional and moving, an eyewitness told The Sun that Connell shared another touching before the show started taping. "He was very emotional, you can tell how much this show and the family of crew members and hosts meant to him," the witness said.
O'Connell, according to the witness, talked with the live audience. He even shed some tears while sharing his final moments in The Talk. "Jerry kept hugging everyone and professing his gratitude, it was really sweet, heartfelt, and genuine," the witness said. "At one point, Jerry thanked the crew for becoming 'part of his daily life' and said he has really grown to love forming a routine on set. He will miss it."
Jerry O'Connell would then get emotional by saying that The Talk did not deserve to be canceled. O'Connell joined the show as co-host in 2021, alongside Amanda Kloots. The Talk began back in 2010 and its last episode aired on December 20, 2024. The Talk will be replaced with a new show called Beyond the Gates, a soap opera.
