On Christmas day, the Kansas City Chiefs faced the Pittsburgh Steelers and came out on top. To celebrate, Andy Reid, the victor's coach, dressed up as Santa Claus.
Andy Reid Dressing As Santa Claus Made The Holidays Funnier
Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce thundered into the locker room donning rather festive side-line jackets, red with a white trim. They were given to the players by Netflix to celebrate the win. When they settled down and stood to the side, Father Christmas entered the room.
In came Andy Reid, in a classic Santa Claus outfit and matching fluffy beard.
After clapping, the Christmas coach and the other players chanted "Chiefs!"
The Chiefs scored a 29-10 win over the Steelers, so such festive celebrations are rather justified. Of course Beyoncé stole the show, but the faithful viewers got to witness the show-stopping festive Reid.
Internet Reacts To Andy Reid Dressing As Father Christmas Following Chiefs Win
Many commented under the shared Netflix clip to express their support (or their disdain).
"Reid is the coolest lol," one compliments. If any coach was to dress up as Santa Claus, it would be Reid.
"What a perfect ending with those NetFlix coats going to Travis & Patrick! Omg!" another exclaims.
"Bringing home the PRESENTS ?," one celebrates.
"That's so cool," aptly writes a fan.
Others, however, thought little of the show, or were still bitter over the Chiefs winning.
"So cringe," one says.
"Riggggggedddd," another writes, echoing the thoughts of others that the game was rigged in the Chiefs' favor.
"Major cringe. F both of those clowns," one insults.
"If there's a cringier "couple", I don't want to see it," a disgruntled viewer comments.
Whether you're fans of the Chiefs or not, it must be admitted that the Santa outfit was brilliant. I've not seen a more faithful outfit of the big guy in a while, and Reid pulled it off.
