Honestly, I can understand his actions. While some may argue that it was just a kiss, or that the woman was just caught up in the excitement, it has to hurt watching your partner kiss someone else. Especially after a dramatic display of excitement over meeting them, and then throwing themselves at this other person.
Regardless of fame and status, that cannot be fun to witness. Additionally, not only did this husband have to witness it, but his wife shared the moment with the entire world. Miriam Cruz is an influencer and she shares a large part of her life with her fans. Recently, she leapt on stage during a live performance by bachata band Aventura. The Daily Mail reports that she had been invited up to sing a song with the group.
Once on stage, she made her rounds ecstatically greeting every member of the band with a hug. Finally, when she made it to lead singer Romero Santos, she could not control herself. She gave him a hug and then planted a kiss right on his mouth. After the kiss, Aventura went on to perform their song, while Cruz sat beside her celebrity crush, Santos, with a hand placed in his lap.
Husband Divorces Wife After Incident
While Cruz may have lived out one of her dreams, it did not come without a cost. In a since-deleted social media post after the show, she admitted what the rash decision cost her. She wrote, "I have to acknowledge that this achievement came at a very high cost: the breakup of my 10-year marriage." Additionally, the influencer admitted that she got carried way by nerves and emotions in the moment.
She was solely focused on her love and infatuation for the singer, which you can clearly see as she hops on stage, and did not think of how her actions would affect her family. While many may feel deep regret at this choice, Cruz admits she is still "happy for her long-awaited dream."
Cruz admits that she has been a long-time fan and has admired Santos for a long time. Furthermore she acknowledges that she respects her partner's decision to separate. However she admits that his decision has her "overcome with great sadness." Seemingly not enough sadness to regret her decision.
However, she maintains the position that she never meant to hurt her husband, and even issues an apology to him in one of her posts. She is hopeful that the two of them will remain amicable for the sake of their children.
