Fox News Taps Will Cain For New Afternoon Show, Makes Several Programming Shifts

There are changes aplenty now afoot at Fox News. Announced by Fox News Media CEO Suzanne Scott, an addition to their current lineup is a new daytime show. It's slated to be helmed by Will Cain. Per a press release, "Beginning on January 21, FOX & Friends Weekend co-host Will Cain will take over the 4 PM/ET weekday timeslot on FNC with The Will Cain Show."

That slot formerly belonged to Neil Cavuto, who departed the network not long ago. As the announcement stated, the content of this new daytime offering will vary. Expect it to encompass culture, politics, sports, and business "in a signature podcast style."

Cain, 49, arrived at the Fox network four and a half years ago. He reacted to his new role with this statement. "It has been an honor to wake up with America these past four years and I am thrilled to apply my background in news, law, entertainment, and business to help our viewers better understand the headlines through thought-provoking content and analysis every weekday afternoon."

Cain will depart his Fox & Friends Weekend stint as of Saturday, January 18.
