LSU freshman backup quarterback Colin Hurley was injured on Thursday morning in an on-campus crash at LSU. The incident happened around 2:45 a.m. Authorities found the freshman LSU quarterback unresponsive on the scene.

According to WBRZ, it appears to be a single-vehicle crash. Although, at this time, authorities haven't confirmed it. Hurley crashed his Dodge Charger into a tree near LSU's south gates. The incident happened at South Quad Drive and Highland Road.
Authorities confirmed that the student-athlete was unresponsive after they arrived on the scene. But he was breathing. Firefighters managed to rescue Hurley from his crashed vehicle. It appears that the quarterback was in and out of consciousness. He also had a large gash on his face.

At this time, authorities are not sure what caused the crash. However, they do not believe that Hurley was impaired prior to crashing. They transferred him to a nearby hospital. But at this time, we're not sure what condition he is in.
