Carrie Underwood Reportedly Had A Hissy Fit Over Inauguration Woes, According To Insider

Carrie Underwood had a number of performance problems during her big moment at the inauguration. She had no stage, had to sing acapella, and felt she wasn't given her time to shine. According to an insider, she had a little hissy fit about it.

The performances were, on the whole, not fantastic. A number of technical difficulties plagued the stage. If you really want to see how bad they got, give Billy Ray Cyrus a watch. That was an unbelievable train wreck. In comparison, Carrie Underwood put on a fantastic performance at the inauguration.

However, Carrie Underwood feels like she wasn't given the opportunity to really perform the way she wanted. She, apparently, compared herself to Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, saying they got much more of the limelight in previous performances.

The insider said, "Her anxiety was high throughout the performance, and she felt that she was not afforded the same level of respect or admiration that previous performers, such as Beyoncé and Lady Gaga, had received." I think the former American Idol winner is maybe getting a little ahead of herself there.

Carrie Underwood Felt Cramped And Uncomfortable At The Inauguration

According to the insider, Underwood was unsatisfied with the opportunity to perform at one of the biggest events of the year. She wanted to be front and center, with her own stage. The insider said, "Carrie was dissatisfied with her performance at the event, primarily due to the limited space she was given, which left her feeling cramped and uncomfortable."

Understandably, the day didn't go exactly as planned. Sure, it may be the inauguration of the president of the United States of America, but that doesn't make it exempt from technical difficulties. The many issues that surrounded the inauguration performances were perhaps due to the last-minute change of venue. It was originally supposed to be outside, but due to the cold, and probably the vast protests, it was moved inside.

Speaking of the inauguration performance by Carrie Underwood, another insider said "She is used to playing at massive venues with a stage to herself. She was not given a stage or a platform even. She felt like she was literally just in a room with people all around her and a microphone. This threw off the acoustics."

It turns out Carrie Underwood wasn't overjoyed with the whole inauguration performance. But, that's showbiz baby.
