Bailey Zimmerman Apologizes for Recent Drunken Performance

When you're in Cancun, Mexico, you're liable to kick your feet up and get a little boozy. When the vibes are just right by the pool or basking beachside, what else can you do? Bailey Zimmerman definitely channeled his inner Margaritaville when he was out there. The only kicker: he also had to perform out there. Now, he's come with his tail tucked knowing that he screwed up.

Recently, Zimmerman went on Instagram to address his rough outing at Luke Bryan's Crash My Playa festival. There, he fully admits to being drunk out of his mind and feels ashamed of his performance and his actions. "So, I'd like to talk about something that's been eating me alive. Last weekend down in Cancun, Mexico, I'm sure everyone has seen the videos of me playing absolutely awful. And singing absolutely awful. And I feel like you guys deserve an explanation from me because you've had my back through the highs and lows and through every mistake," Bailey says.

"So, what happened was I decided to drink that day, which was a mistake, and I got up on stage, and I was too drunk to play. And I sang awful, I played awful. Nobody got the show they wanted or paid for, and I'm disappointed in myself," Bailey continues.

Additionally, Zimmerman says that this drunken outing isn't indicative of who he is as a person. Rather, he wants people to know him as the God fearing man he talks about at his other shows. Moreover, he wishes for a little bit of grace as he works through these issues. "If you've been to my shows, you know how much I've talked about God since Day 1, and it was an awful representation of that. I'm embarrassed and I'm gonna do everything in my power to make sure this never happens again," Bailey declares. "I'm just asking for a little grace. Man, growing up is interesting, and it's not an excuse, but, man, thank you to everybody who's got my back."
