Plenty of movie stars and celebrities manage to get dragged into controversies only to get eviscerated in the court of public opinion. However, one star who has effortlessly avoided disagreements in the public eye is Keanu Reeves, and he recently made a welcome cameo in a popular Apple TV show.

Severance is a psychological thriller starring Adam Scott, and it resonated well enough with audiences to greenlight a second season. According to Collider, the show has retained most of its cast for season two. Severance also boasts an appearance by Keanu Reeves, at least, his voice.
In an interview with Collider, Carly Lane asked series creator Dan Erickson about how they picked him for the role.
"All I can say is that we talked about a couple of different people for that role. We always wanted it to be somebody that people have certain associations with, but also, it had to be a very warm presence. The Lumon building is very friendly in the context of this video, and there's a friendliness to that particular voice and a heart to that particular voice."
Severance Isn't Keanu Reeves' Only Voice Acting Role
It seems as though we may see Keanu in more voice-acting roles in the future. He had his movie voice-acting debut in 2024's Sonic the Hedgehog 3, where he played Shadow. In an interview with People, Reeves said about the character:
"Shadow is such an intense character, and I like that he was intense. But he's got a good heart, and so I got to play super intense. I want revenge, but then also kind of be sensitive and trying to show the good side of me."
Reeves has been a Hollywood staple since the '90s, and while I'll always have a soft spot for him in Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure as Ted 'Theodore' Logan, he's been in dozens of great movies. Reeves played Jack Traven in Speed in 1994 and Johnny Mnemonic in the film of the same name in 1995. The Matrix trilogy put Reeves on the map for many from 1999. The actor featured in many movies in the 2000s, including the cult classic Constantine, but most know him for his iconic role as the Baba Yaga himself, John Wick.
