Per the outlet, "The auction house Moments in Time is presiding over the sale of [the] legal document the singer-songwriter, now 83, signed on Saturday, September 27, 1975, when he was 34-years-old." Dylan had already established himself with classic hits. Among them were "The Times They Are a-Changin," "Blowin in the Wind," and "Like a Rolling Stone."

It's Interesting To See What Bob Dylan Wrote In That Decades-Old Version Of His Will

Apparently at that time, Dylan wanted a home in Minnesota, plus $50,000, to go to his brother, David. According to the outlet via TMZ, the document is "outdated." The much-lauded singer's family now reportedly includes the following children: "Maria Dylan Himmelman, 63, Jesse Byron Dylan, 59, Anna Dylan, 57, Sam Dylan, 56, and The Wallflowers singer Jakob Dylan, 54, with ex-wife Sara Lownds; and Desiree Gabrielle Dennis-Dylan, 38, with his ex-wife Carolyn Dennis."

It's not too surprising that a document that is fifty years old is no longer applicable.

Dylan Memorabilia Is Fetching Staggering Prices These Days

Over the weekend, Julien's Auctions sold some choice Dylan items in Nashville. The prices that people with deep pockets shelled out were jaw-dropping. For instance, a draft of Dylan's lyrics for the mid-1960s song "Mr. Tambourine Man" was snapped up for $508,000. A trove of things connected with Dylan, like a guitar, photographs, and sheets of music went to a bunch of very lucky bidders last Saturday.

Some of the other big-ticket treasures that were offered "included a 1968 Dylan-signed oil-on-canvas painting for $260,000 and a custom 1983 Fender guitar that he owned and played for $225,000."

The auction house reportedly confirmed via dailymail.co.uk that almost $1,5 million was generated in total sales by those who submitted bids online and on-site. Many of the Dylan pieces that were auctioned were from the collection of music journalist Al Aronowitz. He died nearly 20 years ago.
