Jelly Roll Reveals Emotional Letter He Keeps In His Dash

We all know Jelly Roll to be a sensitive guy, but this takes the cake.

The country star has opened up about an emotional letter he keeps in his car at all times. And honestly, it's completely understandable. He recently appeared at What Drives You, where he chat with John Cena. There, he got to show off his awesome custom truck.

The truck was a gift to him by his wife, Bunnie XO, and his daughter, Bailee. It looks incredible, with attention and detail poured over every square inch of it.

Inside the truck, on the dash, however, lies a letter so personal and impactful that Jelly Roll can't ever part with it.

Mr. Roll said, "Talking about what drives me? There's a note right here, I want you to check it out if you don't mind. I want you to read it right there on my dash."

Obliging, Cena gets into the truck and reads the letter aloud. Just to warn you, it's a bit of a tear-jerker.

The letter reads, "Your music saved my best friend's life. Thank you for being unapologetically you and doing what you do." I can see why this left such a lasting impression.

Jelly Roll Doesn't Know Who Wrote The Letter

The kicker is that Jelly Roll doesn't even know who wrote him the letter.

It was signed simply from "A." Naturally, Cena asked who this "A" was, and Jelly Roll said, "The cool thing is, I don't know."

"They left this note on my window four years ago and I sobbed in the parking lot reading it."

I can't imagine what it's like creating something so powerful that someone is still here because of it. So it's no wonder broke down in the parking lot.

"I got in and stuck it in my dash, four years later that thing is still taped on my dash," he continued.

Jelly Roll is sensitive for a reason, and it's a strength of his that he can empathize and sympathize with his fans who are going through some real dark times. That note will likely stick with him till the end of his days.
