Last Saturday night, Parker McCollum was performing in Penn State but was suffering from an illness. Despite attempts to power through, he had to cut the concert short. He promised to reimburse the audience and come back later.
On Tuesday, he uploaded an update on his Instagram to share what happened and express his apologies once again.
He explained that he was feeling ill before the concert began. "Long story short, I was in a meet and greet before the show, had about 2 people left, and all of a sudden, out of nowhere, bam, I felt it in my stomach," he explained.
McCollum tried to throw up before the concert to make himself feel better, but he couldn't get himself to.
"Show time rolled around, decided to try and give it a go," he recalled. Although he "felt okay for the first couple of songs," the more he pushed, the worse he felt.
After calling it, he tried to walk back to his bus, but couldn't quite make it. "I was in the bushes for about ten minutes. I was just as violently sick as I've ever been in my entire life. Spent the next 48 hours basically in the fetal position. Just incredibly sick," he harrowingly reported.
Parker McCollum Thanks Fans For Being Supportive And Understanding
After recounting his awful illness, Parker McCollum thanked his fans for their support and understanding. He expressed over and over again his gratitude, regret, and that it was the worst he's ever felt.
Thankfully, he feels "a little better now," and says he should be "good to go" for his next performances.
As for returning to Pen State, he said that they're working on a date. "When I have a date, I'll let you know," he assured.
His fans hit the comments once again to share their support. Naturally, no one was mad at him considering just how sick the man was.
"Your facial expression and color changed drastically. I can't wait to come and be there in the PIT again," one said, who was there at the performance.
"Stomach bug is no joke. Try to rest us as much as you can and continue on healing up! Feel better," another well-wished.
"Glad you're back up and running! Amazing to refund those tickets, always a class act!" one other praised.
