Ryan Whyte Maloney Died After Argument With Fiancée

After leaving the New York-New York Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas after he performed a show, the couple began to argue. Maloney was allegedly intoxicated, as the fiancée confirmed to police, when she asked if he had her jacket.

He denied having her jacket, and when she continued to question him, Maloney got angry and called her a "b***h." Soon after, Maloney grabbed a gun from the glove compartment and jumped out of the car. His fiancée rolled down the window to yell for him, which was when she heard a gunshot.

By that point, he was gone. She fled the vehicle and tried to follow Maloney, hearing a second gunshot. That's when she saw his body fall to the ground, causing her to call 911.

The report on this tragedy also mentioned how the singer had suicidal ideations in the past. This also wasn't the first time he had harmed himself.

If you're a fan of the singing competition show, you may remember Maloney starring in the sixth season of The Voice in 2014. After auditioning with the song Lights by Journey and gaining Blake Shelton as his coach, Maloney made it to the finals.

The judges eliminated him when there were just five of Shelton's finalists left. After the show, the singer put out an album in 2015 called Where I've Been. He would also perform in Las Vegas, mainly at Shelton's Ole Red bar. Maloney's most recent singles have been songs like Sleepwalk, Toast to Tonight, and Don't Put Me in a Box.

In response to the incident, the official account on X for The Voice spoke up about Maloney's death. "Ryan Whyte Maloney will always be in our hearts and minds," it read. "He was part of The Voice family, and he will be missed."
