Jelly Roll Invites Inmates Who Helped With California Wildfires To Free Concert

Everyone knows Jelly Roll for his sympathetic attitude toward those banged up, considering he was behind bars himself earlier in life. To show his appreciation for the first responders battling the L.A. wildfires, Jelly Roll threw a free concert, and he made sure the inmate volunteers attended, too.

Jelly Roll was at the Rose Bowl Stadium last night to perform to the hard-working first responders and volunteers that have been working around the clock to contain and fight the ravenous L.A. wildfires. All local first responders and their families were welcome to attend, and the invitation extended to the inmate volunteers, too.

Someone uploaded a video of a section of inmates singing along to Whitney Houston before the concert began. They were all sat together, as they were still serving sentences at the end of the day.

When the concert began, naturally, Jelly Roll shouted out the inmates and the other "heroes" who have been fighting the fires. Someone else recorded him saying, "To some of them inmates that it was the first concert they ever seen, baby, welcome to a Jelly Roll show!"

Whiskeyriff reports that 16,000 people attended the concert, and 1,000 of those were inmates. The inmates themselves were all volunteers, meaning they chose to get out there and help the first responders. That's something worth rewarding with some Jelly Roll, I think.

Lainey Wilson And Others Joined The Free Jelly Roll Concert

Incredibly, it wasn't just Jelly Roll who performed at the Rose Bowl. Namely, Lainey Wilson joined him on stage, where they sang together.

Lainey Wilson shared the moment to her X account, and wrote, ".@JellyRoll615 doin what Jelly does. It was an honor to thank some heroes along side him at the @RoseBowlStadium last night. Thank you to all the first responders out there who have showed up time and time again."

She was in the area to attend the Grammys, something that Jelly Roll noticeably didn't attend.

Marshmello and Flavor Flav also hit the concert, making it a night to remember for sure.

I'm sure seeing Jelly Roll perform was the encouragement and motivation the inmates need, considering he was in their position once in his life.
