On Friday, February 21, Michael Lohan, Lindsay Lohan's father, was arrested after he allegedly assaulted his estranged wife, Kate Major. Lohan allegedly assaulted her days earlier before Major became concerned that Lohan was following her, leading to her calling 911.

According to PEOPLE, Kate Major was at a medical appointment on Friday. The Harris County Sheriff's Office details that Major called 911 after she noticed Michael Lohan was in the building's parking lot. She quickly became concerned and, once deputies arrived, she revealed that she was allegedly assaulted by Lohan just days earlier.
Major told deputies that Michael Lohan had "flipped her out of a chair at their residence a few days earlier." The deputies corroborated that Major, in fact, had bruises on her body. Deputies would then arrive at Lohan's residence and arrest him without incident.
Lohan was charged with continuous family violence and his bond was set at $30,000.
Michael Lohan Responds
Since the original news was reported by media outlets, Michael Lohan has since spoken out about the allegations made against him. Lohan denied all the allegations in a statement shared with TMZ on Sunday, February 23, and stated that he was "set up" by Major.
"I've shut up long enough about Kate's physical, emotional and verbal abuse," Lohan said. "She set me up. Originally she said I was stalking her! Really? Lol. Then, when that didn't work, she said, I pushed her over a chair which is a total lie. Not only will my kids attest to it, but I have video. I have more videos of her abuse."
This is not the first time that Michael Lohan and Kate Major, who married in 2014 and divorced in 2018, have been entangled in domestic violence issues. Back in June 2024, Major was arrested for violation of a protective order after she engaged in a heated argument with Lohan, according to TMZ.
Lohan, however, was also arrested in 2020 after allegedly choking Kate Major. He was charged with "misdemeanor criminal obstruction of breathing or blood circulation (choking( and second-degree harassment, according to US Weekly. Even as early as 2014, the year they got married, Major accused Lohan of threatening her with a knife.
