On Monday, February 17, Fire Captain Rebecca Marodi was found inside of her home with multiple stab wounds. Despite first responders administering life-saving measures, Ms. Marodi's injuries were too great. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Now, new scene details are being discovered and police are looking at the Fire Captain's wife as the prime suspect.

Daily Mail shares that police have identified Yolanda Marodi, the wife of the Fire Captain, as a prime suspect in her murder. While spouses typically tend to be questioned shocking details from Yolanda's past are stacking up against her.

Daily Mail shared that "it was revealed she had previously been guilty of felony voluntary manslaughter charges after she killed someone in 2000." She was sentenced to prison for the act. Furthermore, the act was committed with a "dangerous or deadly weapon."

With a history of violence and now her disappearance from the scene, police are definitely considering Rebecca's wife as the prime suspect in this case. While her location is still unknown, police released these details to the public. Yolanda 'is described as 5'2" tall, weighing 166 lbs, with brown hair, and is 53 years old."

Police Are Determined To Uncover The Truth

As police and investigators continue to work together, both are committed to uncovering the truth about the Fire Captain who was murdered. Although a motivation for the murder is still unclear, there was no question about the cause of death.

The autopsy concluded that "the cause of death was stab wounds or sharp force entries." Due to the cause of death, the manner of death has been categorized as a homicide. When investigators initially began looking into the crime, they shared that they believed Marodi was killed by someone she knew.
