Brooks & Dunn have done it all in country music. At 69 and 71 years old, they could easily kick back and rest on their laurels. However, they're still hellbent on providing for their fans. Recently, they spoke with PEOPLE to make a big announcement. They're heading back out on tour to support their Reboot II album. Starting on March 7th in Bakersfield, California, they'll be performing on their own until the end of May. Afterwards, they're pivoting to support Morgan Wallen's I'm The Problem tour on and off until at least September 13th.

Initially, Brooks & Dunn didn't plan on working on a new Reboot album period, let alone go on tour. It just seemed like a breezy one and done experience that they could hang their hats on. However, as success of the first album continued, they started coming up with ideas for another. This time, though, Brooks & Dunn would take a backseat and follow the other artist's vision for their songs. "This time, we got in the studio and turned them loose," Ronnie says. "You pick your song, you take the approach, and we'll go with you wherever you want to go. No rules. We're not worried about radio rules or whatever. If they wanted to have a guitar player play for 16 or 32 bars, let's go."

Artists like Marcus King and Jelly Roll would even come in with these huge bands or massive orchestras to try and reimagine their favorite Brooks & Dunn cuts. However, guys like Morgan Wallen didn't want to touch the originals too much. "He said he didn't want mess with it," Brooks says of their Neon Moon rendition.. "I guess in his opinion, it was already done."
Additionally, the artist that impressed Brooks & Dunn the most was Megan Moroney. They had already seen what she was capable of out on tour before. However, their studio experience was particularly eye opening. "[Megan] was out touring with us for two years I think, and we never heard that voice come out of her — that sultry, sexy voice," Brooks adds. "It felt like she'd been up on a three-day bender smoking Camel cigarettes. They'd already kind of had that idea and sort of had all that worked up."
