Ingrid Andress has performed the national anthem again, to the horror of many Americans. Don't worry though, as her second take is much better than her first. Although, it's not great.
Maybe third time's the charm?
Her awful performance was a strange one, however, as everyone knows her to be a good singer. It wasn't long before she took to her Instagram to share that she was drunk during the performance, and that she was going to book herself into rehab.
Quite the shocking turn of events, but it appears that after getting the help she needed, she's back and ready for more. Wanting to redeem herself, she performed again at Denver's Ball Center. Yesterday, to precede the Colorado Avalanche Minnesota Wild game, she stepped up, and sung.
You can listen to the performance below.
People took to the comments to share their thoughts on the performance. Naturally, most are negative. Again, she didn't perform too badly, but it still isn't a great one.
"Much better than the All-Star Game, but damn girl..." commented one.
"Better than Fergie, but needs some work," another laughed.
"She was a little pitchy but nowhere near as bad as last time," concluded someone else.
"For anyone saying that it's good, I challenge you to find me the last time someone laughed while singing the anthem..." one wrote, not pleased at all. The laughter did catch me off guard, but it's not the end of the world, I suppose.
"I'm not saying singing the anthem is easy...but good lord. There are 10 year olds who have never sung before who will do better," compared one more.
Not everyone thought it was so lackluster, however. Although these people are in a stark minority.
"I liked it. Not sure what was bad," praised one.
"She was pretty good," complemented another.
Maybe Andress will sing the anthem flawlessly should she get a third attempt.
