Jenna Bush Hagar Addresses Rumors About Marriage Trouble

Jenna Bush Hager is setting the record straight after fans noticed she wasn't wearing her wedding ring on recent episodes of Today. The 43-year-old host revealed the reason behind the absence on the February 26 episode of Today with Jenna & Friends, saying she broke her finger.

"I'm not wearing one now because I broke my finger," Jenna said. She reassured viewers that there's no trouble in her marriage to Henry Chase Hager, whom she married in May 2008.

"Don't worry. I've seen some of the comments. Henry and I are still very happily married," she added.

Jenna's comments came after she shared a clip of Saturday Night Live host Colin Jost talking about his wife, Scarlett Johansson, losing her engagement ring in 2020. That conversation sparked Jenna to open up about her own wedding ring news. She reflected on a past "bad wedding ring situation" that topped her recent injury.

Jenna Loses Stone

A few years ago, Jenna and Henry attended a birthday party for Today co-host Savannah Guthrie. Henry left early, but Jenna stayed behind and partied a bit too hard. The next morning, she woke up to discover that one of the stones from her engagement ring was missing. "I looked down at my engagement ring and one of the stones was gone," she recalled. The lost stone, she revealed, belonged to Henry's grandmother.

Jenna hesitated for a while before telling Henry about the mishap. "He's a tolerant person, but I never found [the stone] again," she said. Despite the loss, Henry took the news in stride.

This isn't the first time Jenna has had to give her wedding finger a break. In August 2024, she told former co-host Hoda Kotb that she broke her ring finger and got a "black eye" after losing her necklace in the ocean during a vacation.

Despite her ring-related incidents, Jenna's marriage remains strong, and she and Henry continue to navigate life with their three children -- Hal, 5, Poppy, 9, and Mila, 11.
