Swindell and Courtney got married last June, after dating for several years. But before their romance began, the two became good friends. That all changed when Courtney appeared in his "Some Habits" video, out in 2022.

"We met several years ago actually," Swindell reveals on The Bobby Bones Show. "I'm a big NASCAR fan and she works with Monster and we just kind of met and exchanged numbers and kept in touch over the years. But it never was anything, just kind of friends. [I] randomly saw her here and there, but the video kind of changed everything."

Their ceremony and reception were both held in Sonoma, California. Sadly, both of Swindell's parents passed away before he got married, but they still found a way to make them part of the celebration. Swindell left empty chairs with both of his parents' names on them for his wedding.

"Forever To Me"

Swindell has a Top 10 hit with "Forever To Me." The song was written about his relationship with Courtney. Swindell penned the tune with Greylan James and Rocky Block.

"We were just talking, and somehow I ended up saying that Courtney, I was like, 'She's forever to me,'" Swindell recalls to American Songwriter. "And they just both looked at each other, and I'm usually the one that catches things like that. But they both looked at each other and just were like, 'That's it. That's what it's got to be, 'Forever to Me.'"

Swindell unintentionally said the line that became the inspiration for one of the biggest songs of his career. But once they started writing, it was also Swindell who gave out the first lyric.

"They were like, 'How are we going to start this off?'" Swindell remembers. "'This has got to be something that grabs people.' I don't know; it just came to my head. I said, 'You ever seen a prayer in person?' That's how the whole verse one starts and here we are."

Swindell has yet to reveal a due date for his first child.
