However, one keen-eyed Coscto consumer has noticed a change to the drinks machine in one of their local stores. Instead of Pepsi, they have installed a Coke fountain. Pure, unadulterated rage has exploded as a result.
This means that instead of the Pepsi classics, there will be Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Sprite, Coke Zero, Raspberry Fuze Iced Tea, and Minute Maid Zero Sugar Lemonade.
Costco is well known for its food court. The Costco Guys have brought it to the world with their Boom and Doom ratings. It's a sorry sight when a wholesaler's food court is the only food place safe from bankruptcy in the US. It either alludes to terrible taste or a lack of affordable options.
The Costco Hotdog Drink Combo Will Never Be The Same
Some things in Costco are protected under blood oath. When Costco President and CEO W. Craig Jelinek approached the Costco co-founder Jim Sinegal to talk to him about the buck fifty hot dog, things got serious. Jelinek wanted to push the price of the hotdog up.
"Jim, we can't sell this hot dog for a buck fifty. We are losing our rear ends," he told the co-founder. But Sinegal was having none of it. "He said, 'If you raise the effing hot dog, I will kill you. Figure it out," Jelinek revealed during an interview.
However, although the $1.50 hotdog drink combo in Costco isn't going anywhere, the choice of drinks will change. "No! Us Mt Dew lovers, have more and more of a hard time finding restaurants with it. Taco Bell, KFC. That's basically it now," one guy commented who has clearly forgotten that he can also buy it in stores.
One user is ready to go to war over the Costco drink change. "We will not stand for this. First, Amex, now this. You are getting out of hand, Costco." You can mess with a lot of things in the US, but start to play with their fast food, and heads will roll.
