According to a report by Country Now, the singer-songwriter and coach on The Voice suddenly canceled a gig scheduled for later this month. The country superstar was due to perform at the T Mobile Arena on March 28 as part of her 'Kelsea Ballerini LIVE' tour.
Unfortunately for fans hoping to attend the concert, the venue is sending out emails notifying them of the show's cancellation. This isn't the first time Ballerini has had to cancel a gig, although she typically addresses the situation on social media. Country Now explains that Ballerini had to cancel two shows last month and cut another short after falling ill. She reportedly tried her best to soldier through but realized she needed time to recover.
Addressing those cancellations, Ballerini explained, "So we are rescheduling tonight, Buffalo, tomorrow, Pittsburgh, and the next day, Toronto, to the end of the tour, April 11th, 12th, and 13th. I will make them the best shows I've ever played in my whole life." Compared to these cancellations, the Country singer has been oddly silent about the Las Vegas concert.
Fans Aren't Taking The Concert Cancellation Well
Social media platforms, like TikTok, are ablaze with mixed responses to the cancellation. Some fans are angry and disappointed, while others are concerned for Ballerini's well-being.
One TikTok by LexilCook, which has over 1300 likes, addresses Kelsea directly:
"Girl. Please say sike right now. Please say sike. I'm supposed to see you in Vegas in two weeks." She pleads. "And I don't know if you know this, but you have just dropped some bangers, first of all. I have been daydreaming about this concert for I don't know how long. I don't know why it's canceled, but if you're sick, it's fine, but please reschedule it."
Another TikTok user, Alyssa Naumann, explains she bought her tickets from someone else, so she never received an email.
Alyssa also explained that she has booked flights that are not refundable. She ends her video by asking the camera, "What the ****?."
Per the Las Vegas Review-Journal, some fans speculate that the show was canceled due to low ticket sales, with a few even suggesting they contacted the venue for the reason. At the time of writing, the last video on Kelsea Ballerini's official TikTok profile is from three days ago.
