Megan Moroney has recently sat down with Rolling Stone for a feature, where she was asked about the dating rumors. There, she spoke about their time in St. Barts together.

That's right! It's been confirmed that the two singers were indeed both on the island together, but they weren't exactly vacationing together. I'll let her explain.

"He was individually on his vacation with his friends. St. Barts is a popular place! It's one of those things where if you know someone on a small island, you're like, 'Oh, s--t, you're here too.' So it was fun," she said.

"Just because we're hanging out doesn't mean we're romantically dating. You know what I mean?"

Since January, fans of the singers have been speculating and theory-crafting about the two of them after a series of suspicious photos. Honestly, it got to a point where I began to think the two of them were leaving these details in their posts for the fun of it.

Considering that they were on the island together, the countless coincidences finally make sense. Although Moroney claims that they weren't romantically involved, I'm sure the fans will feel vindicated to know that they were indeed vacationing at the same spot.

Megan Moroney Has Incredibly Healthy Attitude To Sleuthing Fans

It's easy to forget how borderline creepy it is to analyze someone's holiday photos to crack down on who they're dating until you take a step back. Despite the relentless internet sleuths diving into every pixel of their social media posts, Moroney doesn't feel any which way about it.

"I don't blame them for doing some FBI research," she admitted.

"It's one of those things where of course they're going to wonder. I write songs that people can dream up in their head [and think] that this is who it's about. As much as it is my story, it's their story, too, and I just have respect for the other artist because they're public, too," she reflected.

It's anyone's guess as to what the country couple got up to together during their time in St. Barts. But at least we now know a thing or two.
