Fox News Leads Ratings As CNN And MSNBC Undergo Reshuffling

There has been loads of fallout among some of the invincible TV news giants lately. Some, like CNN and MSNBC, are trying to reset their brand and attract viewership. But one, Fox News Digital, is ahead of the pack. Per a press release, "FOX News Digital finished February as the number one news brand with multiplatform views and minutes, doubling CNN in each category, according to Comscore.* That is a feat to crow about.

Fox News Also Beats The Competition On YouTube

Fox is "the top news brand on YouTube with 368.4 million video views." That achievement is going strong in its fourth consecutive month. There has been significant growth for Fox on YouTube as well. According to the release, from year to year, Fox enjoyed "103 percent growth on YouTube."

Multiplatform Views For Fox Reportedly Rose Compared With CNN

Fox News Digital scored impressive victories in other categories also. "For the month, FOX News Digital secured 4.1 billion total multiplatform minutes (up 33% over February 2024), 2 billion total multiplatform views (up 25% over February 2024) and 121 million total digital multiplatformunique visitors (up 5% over February 2024).*

CNN reportedly did not fare as well. It had declines compared with February 2024 in the categories of multiplatform views (down 16 percent compared with February 2024), multiplatform minutes (down 22 percent versus February 2024) and "and total digital unique multiplatform visitors (down 19% vs. February 2024)."

FOXBusiness Had A Significant First Of Its Own

FOXBusiness.com notched a key milestone of its own for the very first time. According to the release, "FOXBusiness.com delivered 322 million multiplatform minutes surpassing CNBC.com's 262 million multiplatform minutes." That has not happened before.

There Are Notable Changes At Other Major News Networks

While Fox News celebrates its supremacy, other networks are scrambling to maintain and draw viewers. That means making changes. For example, CNN has parted ways with some of its well-known on-air personalities. Chris Wallace, Jim Acosta, and Alisyn Camerota are no longer in the ranks. At MSNBC, Joy Reid was recently let go from her role as anchor of The ReidOut.

We will see if more changes are in the works.
