Scotty McCreery Takes A Fall On Stage, Band Doesn't Care

When you tell someone going on stage to break a leg, it doesn't usually mean literally. Thankfully, when Scotty McCreery took a fall on stage, the only thing bruised was his pride.

The singer didn't hide his shame and was the first to share the fall with his fans. Footage of his tumble is shared on his Instagram. It shows the country star walking back, showboating, and pretending to cock a shotgun. However, the kickback from the imaginary weapon is a little too much, and Scotty McCreery takes a fall.

The stumble takes him completely by surprise, and he drops fast. Thankfully, he catches himself with one hand at least, managing to keep hold of the microphone. Scotty McCreery is up on his feet in no time, blaming his spill on the stage speaker he fell backward over.

The show, of course, went on, and he finished the gig without a hitch. He was just a little more careful where he put his feet for the remainder. Stages can be treacherous places. It wasn't that long ago that Coldplay frontman Chris Martin fell down a trapdoor.

No Sympathy From Scotty's Bandmates

When asked about the gig and their highlights from the show, each of the bandmates said watching Scotty McCreery fall was the top. Who needs enemies when you have friends like these, eh?

But, although he fell heavily and on one arm, he seemed okay. He spoke to the camera after and he said his wrist was a little sore, but nothing was broken. It'll be a week or so until it's right, but it doesn't look like it'll need a cast.

One of his bandmates is just happy it wasn't his turn to hurt himself on stage. "I'm the last person that had to go to the hospital from falling down, so when I saw Scotty do it, I was a little concerned," he says. "Glad he didn't hurt himself, but it was just a little enjoyable."

In the heat of the moment, it's easy to forget the hazards dotted around the stage. Thankfully, Scotty McCreedy didn't break anything, but he'll be a little more cautious with his showboating in the future.
