People get divorced over many different reasons. One that no one expected, however, was simply "Borat." Well, that's exactly why Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson got divorced.

Those around in 2006 will remember the release of Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan. It hit Western culture like a nuke, and a marriage got blown apart in the process.
This well-documented phenomenon has been recounted by Pamela Anderson in her memoir, Love, Pamela, and in her feature with Rolling Stone. Sacha Baron Cohen, writer and lead actor in the film, also confirmed the rumors when talking to Vanity Fair.
Kid Rock and Pamela Anderson got married in 2006. And only a few months later, they divorced.
So, what happened?
Borat is a mockumentary that tackled some pretty extreme concepts. In one part of the film, Borat attempts to 'kidnap' Pamela Anderson so to 'marry' her. Of course, in this case, Pamela Anderson was in on the film and what they were doing.
Kid Rock, however, had no idea that Anderson was in the film. But when she went to surprise her husband with the private screening, he went crazy.
Kid Rock Lost It At Screening Of Borat
For whatever reason, Kid Rock really didn't like that she did the film. The kidnapping scene and the reference to her leaked sex tape didn't sit well with him, and he stormed out of the screening.
"Bob stormed out, calling me a wh--e and worse. He was embarrassed, and his reaction was not thought through," Anderson told Rolling Stone.
He also apparently said that she "humiliated" herself. A source also spilled that he said, "You're nothing but a wh--e! You're a s--t! How could you do that movie?"
Kid Rock went home without her, stranding her at the screening. When Anderson got home, she caught him smashing a photo of her and David LaChapelle, as he couldn't stand seeing them together every day. However, it was actually a photo of Marilyn Monroe and Bert Stern.
She knew to divorce him. And in the proceedings, she listed "Borat" as the reason behind their divorce, according to Cohen's account of events.
