TMZ reported that the incident took place at around 10 a.m. on March 29. Law enforcement sources stated that police arrived following a domestic disturbance that involved Delaney and Morgan. Reportedly, both individuals engaged in a heated argument that escalated into a physical confrontation. Paramedics arrived at the scene to assess any injuries that the couple might have suffered during the reported confrontation.

After the paramedics medically cleared them, police arrested Kim Delaney and James Morgan. As per TMZ, Delaney was charged with felony assault likely to cause great bodily injury. James Morgan, meanwhile, was charged with misdemeanor domestic violence.

Just two weeks earlier, Delaney had posted a picture of her and Morgan in a loving embrace on Instagram. "Pure love," the post's caption read. The couple celebrated their second wedding anniversary in October 2024.

This isn't the first time that Kim Delaney has been embroiled in legal trouble. According to Entertainment Weekly, she was arrested back in 2002 after a motorist spotted her driving recklessly near her Malibu home. She pleaded no contest to reckless driving and received a two years' probation sentence and was ordered to pay a $300 fine and take a safe-driving class.

Her legal issues continued in 2024. According to the Daily Mail, a motorcyclist, Dzhamal Badalov, sued her in January 2024, claiming that she allegedly rammed him while stopped at a red light in November 2022 and attempted to flee the scene. Legal documents alleged that, similar to her 2002 incident, Delaney had been driving erratically before the crash took place.

Badalov alleged in his lawsuit that a group of witnesses prevented her from fleeing the scene. He then claimed that Delaney called an unidentified individual, who then offered him a sum of money in exchange for not calling the police and allowing her to leave the scene. Upon his refusal, Badalov alleged that the person told Delaney to leave the scene regardless.

As a result of the lawuist, authorities ordered Kim Delaney to do 50 hours of community service. Additonally, she was ordered to complete the Mothers Against Drunk Driving Program.
