Morgan Wallen is a name that everyone has heard of at this point. He has been all over the country, and his music is impossible to escape. He probably reached peak popularity right after his famous 'incident'. When he lost an argument with a bar chair and decided to teach it a lesson.

I'm sure many of us assumed that would only be the beginning of his bar-going stories. Especially with global hits like "Last Night", "Man Made a Bar", and "This Bar". But he recently revealed on Theo Von's podcast that instead, the 'incident' revealed it was "Quittin' Time" for Morgan's bar life.
He said, "It's definitely the best thing for me, you know. If you're using the bar as a specific example, that's definitely the best thing for me. I ain't been in a bar since the last time I was in a bar that everybody knows about. The most public time I was in a bar, that's the last time I was in a bar."

Morgan Wallen's 'Incident'
On April 7, 2024, Morgan Wallen lost (won?) a bar fight with a chair. The fight ended when the chair was launched off the roof of Eric Church's bar, Chief's. Now, the problem wasn't necessarily that he threw the chair. The problem was more with where the chair landed and the fact he threw it off the roof. It landed next to two Nashville police officers.
Understandably they weren't too happy about that and after finding out who threw the chair cuffed him and brought him in. They charged him with three counts of felony reckless endangerment and one count of disorderly conduct. (He ended up only pleading guilty to misdemeanor reckless endangerment.)
But we all already knew that story. The real crazy information revealed on This Past Weekend with Theo Von was that he hasn't been back to a bar since.
Done with Bars?
Yep. During Theo Von's conversation with Morgan Wallen, he broke the terrible news. Morgan Wallen has been officially done with bars since throwing a chair off a roof. I was shell-shocked. How could he do this to us? The one place in the whole world where I know for a fact I'll hear his music, and he's not there?
So what you have a little trauma associated with bars now. I can't imagine every bar reminds him of Chief's. Plus, aren't bars supposed to be the best place to go to deal with trauma?
On a very real note, I get it. There's no reason to put yourself in another situation where you're locked in a legal battle for a year. And hey, maybe it gives him even more time in the studio as he prepares for the release of his album, I'm The Problem on May 16th this year.
But only because I know he's asking for my opinion, you're never the problem, Morgan. Not even when you're causing chaos in bars. We'd all love to see you at another "Happy Hour".
