The Fox singing competition started a couple of days ago, and one of the contestants, the Mad Scientist, has an undeniable country twang. So much so that viewers are guessing that Garth Brooks is the secret singer.

He's only had two performances so far, and not too many clues have been revealed about his identity, but viewers are convinced it's a country icon. Most notably, Garth Brooks.

Now, can I hear it? Honestly, kinda. This also feels like something Garth Brooks would do. So I would not be overly surprised to find him under the mask when he eventually gets revealed.

However, I can't see how the clues cohesively tie back to Brooks. I personally don't reckon it is him, but again, this does have the singer written all over it.

Whiskeyriff's Aaron Ryan, however, reckons the Mad Scientist is actually Brian Kelly. And he provides some great points, especially when explaining how the clues revealed so far tracks back to the "Beach Cowboy" singer. He's actually got me convinced.

You can listen to the Mad Scientist's performance and form your own opinion, however.

Viewers Speculate Who's Behind The Mask

People have been taking to comment sections online to share their thoughts on who the Mad Scientist is. And many believe it to be Garth Brooks.

"It's crazy how obvious that the Mad Scientist Monster on Masked Singer is either Garth Brooks or Chris Gaines," wrote one.

"I was wrong on Kenny Chesney I believe, but definitely Garth Brooks for sure," another believes.

"Could it be Garth Brooks," questioned one more.

Not everyone thinks its Garth Brooks, however.

"I would bet anything that this is George Straight!!" claimed one.

"Sticking with my guess from last week ... Ronnie Dunn," another stated.

"Sounds like Clint black tonight," reckons a viewer.

"That's Alan Jackson!" exclaimed one more. I mean, come on...
