As someone who has been fortunate enough to avoid bar fights, this list a purely hypothetical situation for me. However, I can appreciate good background music. After all, it can make or break a scene in a movie. So why not be the perfect backdrop to a good old fashioned country brawl. If I ever do end up getting into a bar fight, I am going to make sure that one of these 4 country songs are playing

Country Songs That Need To Play If I Am Ever In A Bar Fight
This list is a nice mixture of my own personal opinion and the opinions of the fine people of Reddit. The prompt that was posed on Reddit was the following. "What country songs would you most want playing in a bar fight?" Then some extra descriptors were added, in case you weren't getting a strong enough visual.
"I'm talking the whole place has gone nuts and everyones throwing haymakers at each other." Well, there is a nice visual. However, it seemed to work because the post gained over 220 comments. So what were some of the top contenders?
1. 'Son Of The Dirty South': Brantley Gilbert featuring Jelly Roll
This one was a personal choice of mine. Right away the beat seems aggressive and like it could inspire some boozed up cowboys to show off their beer muscles. The lyrics support my claim as well. Here are some that stood out to me.
"I'm a hell raisin' rebel that you better never tread on."
"Tatted up, I'm gassed up
I'm throwed off and I'm buck wild
Loud and rowdy, I'm a son of the dirty south."
I mean come on...tell me that doesn't sound like the perfect country song for a bar fight? I can literally visualize someone throwing back their beer, slamming it on the counter and then crossing the bar before they throw a punch. But maybe that's just me?
2. 'The Devil Went Down To Georgia' : Charlie Daniels
This was a common choice on the Reddit thread. Multiple people mentioned this song as their part of their bar fight country songs playlist. In fact, one user even shared a personal story in relation to it. Apparently, the commenter's father played in a country band in the 80s. While their father was performing an all out brawl broke out. "A guy got smashed in the face with a tire-iron and it broke his eye socket. He was laying on the floor barely conscious in a pool of blood."
So things were serious, but there was nothing to do while they all waited for police to arrive. The band asked this poor soul if there was anything they could do to make him feel any better. To which he apparently replied, ""Can you guys play The Devil Went Down to Georgia?" So now, whenever imagining bar fights and country songs this is what comes to that individual's mind. Rightfully so I'd imagine.
3. 'Blame It On The Double': Cory Marks
Again we have another personal selection of mine. This is another one of those songs that starts off strong. The beat and drums literally slap you in the eardrums. Then you have Marks' gritty voice and the awesome guitar in the background. Not to mention the lyrics are literally perfect for a bar fight. I mean look at these.
"Twist the cap off and pass it around
Feeling all right now
One thing that I do well, is raise some hell"
"Full moon on a Saturday night
Throwing down whiskey till light
I swear I ain't looking for trouble
Don't blame me, man, blame it on the double"
"Before the drinks hit the floor
We're busting out the front door
Black Label's gonna bring out the rebel
Don't blame me, man, blame it on the double
Yeah, blame it on the double."
That's all...the lyrics honestly speak for themselves.
4. 'The Winner': Bobby Bare
This was another popular choice by the fine people of Reddit. One user even wrote "The Winner - Bobby Bare is really the only answer." While it may not have made my personal top choices, I can see how it made it on to their list of country songs for a bar fight.
The beat is a little slow for me but the lyrics do fit the theme quite well. Take a look at some of the most fitting sections of the song.
"The hulk of a man with a beer in his hand he looked like a drunk old fool
And I knew if I hit him right why I could knock him off of that stool."
"But I had myself about five too many and I walked up tall and proud
I faced his back and I faced the fact that he had never stooped or bowed
I said Tiger Man you're a pussycat and a hush fell on the crowd
I said let's you and me go outside and see who's the winner."
"But I left that person cursin' nursin' seven broken bones
And he only broke ah three of mine that makes me the winner."
The song is literally about a bar fight...so while the beat may encourage me to relax instead of fight, the story it tells is perfectly fitting.
