"I think it's an incredible album," Pardi boasts. "And we had so much fun making it, working with a new producer for me. And he's not a new producer; he's a legend. Jay Joyce, love him. We had a great time."

Pardi also spoke about his new record on social media.

"Honkytonk Hollywood is finally out!!!" Pardi writes. "This album is my personal definition of country music. Huge thanks to all the songwriters, my band for playing on it, Jay Joyce for producing it, and everyone else who worked hard to make this thing happen."

When announcing Honkytonk Hollywood, Pardi hinted that the record would be a bit of a departure for him from his previous records.

"All my albums have been rock and roll with a country flare - this one keeps on rockin'," Pardi says. "It's also the most grown-up record I've ever made, all my soul basically. Honkytonk Hollywood is for the Nashville that's in my blood and it's also a nod to my California roots. And right now, more than ever, I hope it's a way to honor and lift up the people of my home state."

Jon Pardi's Hit Single, "Friday Night Heartbreaker"

Pardi currently has a Top 25 hit with "Friday Night Heartbreaker." The song's video, directed by Jim Wright, was filmed in Nashville's historic Printer's Alley.

"I always enjoy filming with Jim Wright, even if it means being in Printer's Alley until 2:00 a.m.," the father of two says. "You really see some wild characters down there at that hour. One of my favorite parts of the shoot was chatting with the actors and actresses who performed the circus stunts—they were amazing! All I had to do was play guitar and drive a cool car while they were over there breathing fire and swallowing swords. It was awesome to watch it all come together!"

"Friday Night Heartbreaker" is one of the songs on Honkytonk Hollywood that Pardi did not write. Still, he knew the first time he heard it that he wanted to put it on his new record.

"[I] love this song," he says. "I remember when I first heard it. It kind of gives a spooky, sexy vibe. Somebody's gonna break a heart tonight."
