Do me a quick favor and roll back your mind to the halcyon days as a kid, where you'd pursue any critter and creature you came across. Whenever did we cease our unbridled curiosity of the world and its inhabitants?
Hardy took to his Instagram to showcase a cool lizard he found, in a video that's both fascinating and strangely endearing. The singer and advocate for off-screen connection managed to catch a fence lizard and immediately started gushing about the reptile.
What he concretely claimed as the "fastest lizard in the world" (before asking nobody to quote him on that) just sits in his hands as he shows it off and describes its features.
It's a podgy little thing, and apparently friendly as it doesn't bite when prompted. What a gentlelizard.
"I love s--t like this dude, it's my favorite thing in the world," he says, still holding the reptile aloft.
"Damn that's cool, I don't know if I've caught one since I was like, 5 years old."

I love reptiles and the natural world, so to see Hardy proudly showing off a lizard like this means a lot to me. It's also a real fun watch, and will hopefully encourage more people to get out there and see what's lurking about.
His fans also loved the video, and took to the comments to share their thoughts.

"You ain't kidding, bro those things are fast as hell. I used to catch them at work and I missed a lot more than I ever got," chimed in a third.
A couple of people had thoughts on the relentless body shaming the poor lizard received.
"Poor guy is getting body shamed," laughed one.
"It's a girl. She's pregnant," suggested another, although later commented that they weren't 100% sure.
