LoCash reckon they may be one of the longest-running duos in country music. Chatting to each other, they bounce off other country duos to see if that's the case.

The duo recently sat down with WOC in light of their recent album, Bet The Barn. There, we asked them if there are any country duos that they look to for inspiration. And they dived right into a casual chat about the longevity of country duos as they meandered around the question.
I do love watching candid conversations; you can tell they've been friends for a long time just by the manner in which they converse between themselves.
"The longevity of Brooks & Dunn," trailed off Preston Brust. It's clear LoCash are inspired by the duos that stand the test of time. Brust continued his admiration of duos that remain together, as Chris Lucas chimes in with approval.
Then Lucas steers the conversation away from finding inspiration in other duos, and finds some inspiration from within.
"I think we are the longest ones to stay together," he said. Now, that's quite the claim.
LoCash Discuss Longevity Of Country Duos
Brust counters, arguing, "Brooks & Dunn, probably."
But then Lucas brought up that they broke up. The famous duo did split for around five years from 2010 to 2015.
"We're the ones!" Lucas announces triumphantly. "Tell me another duo that didn't break up," he challenged.
Classic country fans are likely seething right now, but fret not, for Lucas did at least remember The Bellamy Brothers. This duo has never split, has released music as recently as last year, and was formed in 1968. They've been together for 57 consecutive years.
Considering that LoCash was formed in 2008, it's only been around for 17 years.
Brust was a little more cautious than Lucas, and believed they were forgetting an old-school duo that would likely top them. "Maybe The Righteous Brothers, The Everly Brothers, I don't know."
Both of those duos had breaks, hiatuses, or prolonged inactivity, however. Even still, if we're going by greatest consecutive years, both of these duos had a period of consecutive service that spans greater than LoCash.
So sorry, Chris Lucas, but you've got some more years to go before you can comfortably claim to be one of the longest-running duos in country music.
