Luke Bryan and his wife Caroline will celebrate 19 years of wedded bliss this December. The success of their marriage might seem unlikely since the two met while in college, at a very unromantic location.

"We met in the most beautiful scenario: a college bar," Bryan jokes on The Jennifer Hudson Show. "It was a college bar, and we were both going to college. It was a total deal where I saw her in the bar and kind of made my way over there, and told my stupid little one-liners. And here we are, 18 and a half years later."
Bryan previously admitted that he wasn't entirely sober when he first approached Caroline.
"I had to drink a lot before I could go talk to her, but I did," Bryan remembers. "Somehow I managed to ease over there and somewhat be charming. It was one of those situations for me, it was like, 'Who is that and how do I go talk to her?'"
Luke Bryan's Influence On His Two Sons
Bryan and Caroline share two sons, 17-year-old Bo and 14-year-old Tate. Both boys have grown up with their dad as a celebrity, but Bryan makes sure they see that only in a positive way.
"I look at how my kids process what their dad is," Bryan says at a recent media event. "They are of the age that they know that their dad's a celebrity, and know that their dad has been blessed with success. But I think when they see that our family, they can tangibly see that we're making a difference by using our celebrity platform, I just hope that they can understand that that's really and truly what life is about."
Bryan also donates a lot of money to charity, including to the Brett Boyer Foundation, which he started with Caroline.
"In our home, we try to teach manners and politeness and humility and hard work," Bryan explains. "And obviously, having a charitable aspect to your heart and your soul, makes you the person we want them to be."
The Brett Boyer Foundation is in memory of Sadie Brett Boyer, Bryan's niece, who was seven months old when she passed away. Boyer had both a congenital heart defect and Down syndrome.
