The Singer Who Shaded Morgan Wallen At Stagecoach Festival

Lana Del Ray took her opportunity to shine on the Stagecoach stage. Not only did she take the opportunity to debut a new song for her fans, she also took the chance to throw some serious shade at fellow musician and singer, Morgan Wallen.

Lana Del Ray sang her new song "57.5" for a cheering crowd. The song highlighted her 57.5 million followers on Spotify and divulged the star's thoughts on her secrets to success. In each verse, her advice changed. Ranging from "I suggest showing up in a Ross dress" to "I suggest stop trying to hit it big time."

However, later in the song the singer shaded Morgan Wallen on the Stagecoach festival stage. She took a break from singing and breathlessly said,

I kissed Morgan Wallen
I guess kissing me kind of went to his head
If you want my secret to success
I suggest don't go ATVing with him when you're out west

Why The Shade?

Taste of Country shared that during her performance, before that she sang that interesting bridge she addressed the crowd. She said, "This is the last time I'm ever going to say this line." It is unclear is the events in her lyrics actually happened. Was the singer shading Morgan Wallen because of a failed romantic encounter?

Or was she just taking creative liberty with her lyrics and trying to get the crowd worked up? So far, no one knows. However it sure made for a memorable performance.
