I'm not a superstitious person, nor am I overly religious. But the final words of George Jones highlights that there may be more beyond our perceived reality.

It may surprise you to know that it's already been 12 years since George Jones passed. He died in April 2023 at the age of 81. A couple of years after his passing in 2015, however, his incredible wife, Nancy Sepulvado, spoke about their marriage and his final words to The Tennessean.
And they are spooky ones indeed.
During their marriage, Nancy put up with his drinking problems and abuse. She was convinced the Devil lived inside him, but believed she was put by his side by God himself to make him better.
"God put me with him to help him get the devil out of him," she said. "God put me there to do a job and I did it." What an astounding woman.
In 1999, she helped George Jones quit drinking cold turkey. And after that, he became his best self. Loving, caring, and warm, she had successfully driven the devil from The Possum.
After years of sobriety, Jones would soon find himself on his deathbed. This is where it gets spooky.
George Jones' Final Words Were To The Lord
For five days leading up to his departure, he lay in a hospital bed. According to Nancy, he didn't move, nor did he open his eyes.
In his final moments, however, he had his wife talking to a doctor at the foot of his bed. Suddenly, he opened his eyes and looked up. With a voice he hadn't used in days, he said, "Well, hello there, I've been looking for you. My name's George Jones."
He died moments later.
Nancy is convinced that he was talking directly to God.
"He was talking to God," she said. "I know in my heart he was talking to God, and he has gone to heaven."
Such a thought would have brought her ultimate peace. She was fretting over his soul for far too many years. And now she knows he's at rest.
What a chilling thing to hear someone say before they die.
