Fans Really Aren't Feeling The Collab That Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox Is Teasing

Rascal Flatts' lead singer, Gary LeVox, has teased a new collab... and it's not one we wanted nor needed.

In case you missed it, Akon has returned to the music scene after disappearing for a while. He's the one who collabed with Snoop Dogg for "Smack That" and Michael Jackson on "Hold My Hand." Although he broke out in the noughties, his music still gets appreciated today.

However, he's back, and wants to sidestep from rap to country. He told TMZ that he's not just stepping into country, however, but he's turning his entire discography into country songs. That's right. He doesn't just want to release new country songs. He wants to remake his entire catalogue. And he's already started.

So this is controversial enough. I mean, sure, do country songs if you want to. But remaking your whole catalogue? That's a little insane.

What does this have to do with Gary LeVox, however?

Well, it appears that Akon and LeVox are teaming up for a collab. Presumably, it's part of Akon's sudden country push... but the tune itself is a far cry from anything country.

Take a listen below, and try not to grimace for too long.

Internet Reacts To Akon And Gary LeVox Collab

Pretty unbearable, right? It's so sad to see LeVox on this. Although it's not confirmed that the song is supposed to be a country song, there are a couple indicators that it should be. Collabing with a country singer amid a country push are signs too big to ignore.

And yet... it sounds nothing like a country song.

People took to the comments to rinse the teaser.

"What in the Applebees is going on here," joked one, pointing out how safe and boring the song sounds.

"What hurts the most...is THIS," wrote another.

"This is gonna go platinum at Kohls," chimed in a third.

"The bills cannot be this high," stated someone else.

"The overcast weather, the parked boat, the random people on board...lots to unpack here," one pointed out the strange production quality of the teaser. It does seem weirdly cobbled together...

Safe to say, people are not fans of this new collab. If only they wrote a good song together.
