On Mother's Day, a couple decided to stop at Freddy's to grab some food at the drive-thru. What they hadn't bargained for was for "help" to be written on their order.

An anonymous user took to Reddit to share the distressing message they received on their order. On the box containing their food, "help" was written. Also on their receipt, "help" was typed instead of the customer's name.
In the car with her was her boyfriend. They were both pretty convinced it was a joke from the employees. Apparently, they were being pretty jovial and jokey at the windows, but when you receive a message for help, it's pretty hard to ignore.
So, instead of calling the police right away, she asked the people of Reddit for their opinions. And the post went viral. It gained over 100,000 views and 11,000 people weighed in with their opinions.
Most were of the same opinion.
"Call 911. I wouldn't risk this being a joke. Seriously," warned one.
"Call them ASAP. They wouldn't do that for nothing," wrote another.
Some online also thought the employees could have been making a joke, but typing "help" on the receipt was a move far enough to warrant concern.
Thousands waited for an update from the poster.
Concerned Customer Ended Up Calling The Police
Later on, the customer updated everyone on what happened next. She did end up calling the police.
As it turns out, the employees were in fact making a joke. There was no danger, they simply thought it would be funny.
The poster wrote, "Yes, it was an employee playing a prank. A million people called to find out what happened, and that is the conclusion. There will be no further update, unless I receive a call from the police, which I do not see happening."
That's a pretty foul prank to play. It will only discredit future emergency situations where this strategy could be used by frightened employees.
Many in the comment section hope that the employee(s) responsible get what's coming to them. They will likely be fired at the very least, although we won't receive an update on what happens to those involved.
