George Strait still performing feels like a miracle. 50 years deep into the game, a lot of artists would've hung it up a long time ago. But on the other, they miss their bed. What's the point of the big ol' house if they can't lay in it?

George Strait Teases Retirement in The Very Near Future
Recently, the country icon performed at a show in Philadelphia, PA, where he takes a minute to keep it real with his audience. The fans in the audience should feel incredibly lucky. He might be on his last legs with touring. "I have maybe five good years to sing my songs for you folks," Strait reveals.
The crowd obviously grew a bit despondent but he couldn't allow them to frown for too long. He grins and reminisces on how long he's been performing. Moreover, Strait adds that he still loves doing it all these years later. "But hell, it's been around 50 now," he says. "And I still love it just as much as I ever did. I walk through those curtains and I see your smiling faces, my feet don't touch the ground again until I walk back out and get on that bus."
