Keith Urban can be called a lot of things. But there is one name the 57-year-old absolutely hates to be called.

"Don't call me Mr. Urban," Urban says on Much Music (via Taste of Country)
"It's so official, and I feel like a school principal or something."
"My dad hated it too, so I get it now," Urban adds.
Urban prefers being called KU. He may not like being called Mr. Urban, but he does have another name he likes: dad! Urban and his wife, Nicole Kidman, share daughters, 16-year-old Sunday Rose and Faith Margaret, who is 14.
"The first thing is just having someone call you dad," Urban says (via WBWN). "I'm like, 'Oh my gosh! I'm her dad! That's amazing.' That's probably [the] earliest ... first thing for me. The different personalities that our two daughters have, that's amazing. ... I think for the people that haven't had kids - which I hadn't for a long, long, long time. I didn't have kids 'til later on.
"And being around it is not the same as having them," he adds. "So I realize that it's not something that can be explained until you actually sort of have it, so I'm glad I got to experience that."
Keith Urban's Major New Award
Things are going quite well for Urban, both with his family and his career. The Grand Ole Opry member just received a new trophy: the Triple Crown Award. The honor was given to him at the recent ACM Awards, marking the first time it had been given during the live ceremony since 2010.
"In particular, if it inspires some people from other countries who have a dream of coming to America, then that's a good thing," the New Zealand native tells Billboard, speaking of receiving the honor. "It took a lot of years of living in [Nashville] and becoming part of the community. But it's absolutely achievable if you're willing to put in the hard work and the time."
Urban will soon kick off his High and Alive World Tour. The tour, which begins on May 22 in Orange Beach, Alamba, features a few new band members. Chase Matthew, Alana Springsteen and Karley Scott Collins will serve as his opening acts.
