At 73 years old, Jim Ross has been a huge name in the wrestling scene for many years. He has a troupe of fans, and is remembered by many from the glory days of wrestling. The news of his cancer has come as a shock.

Speaking to his fans on X, Jim Ross informed them of his colon cancer. "Diagnosed this week with colon cancer," he posted. "Surgery being scheduled in the next week or two. I appreciate your concern and support." Since then, messages of support have flooded in.

This is not the first time the WWE star has been diagnosed with cancer. He previously had skin cancer in 2021. However, using radiotherapy, he beat it and declared himself cancer-free only two months later. Jim Ross quickly got back to doing what he loved and returned to AEW.

Jim Ross Won't Tap Out To Cancer Just Yet

Many people in the comments are suggesting that Jim Ross take horse tranquilizer and ivermectin to battle his cancer, which is odd. But, there are a few sane people in there who are simply sharing their well wishes.

"Prayers for you, Jim. For me, you're the voice of wrestling. As a result, the voice of my adolescence. Not the voice of WWE, WCW, or AEW. You are the voice of professional wrestling as a whole, and the best to ever do it. Stay strong, Jim," one heartfelt commenter adds.

Another gave words of encouragement, reminding Jim Ross that colon cancer isn't the end. It can be beat. "My dad had it in 1990.. it's 35 years later, 6ft of colon removed and he's now 83 and doing great.. good luck Jim! You got this."

Jim Ross has been an icon of wrestling commentary for years, adding his personal flavor to the bouts. His familiar call-outs and commentary ringside is what helped the sport become the icon of US culture it is today. Hopefully, this will just be a brief hiccup for the wrestling legend.
