As the police jumped into the garden of Weezer bassist and Jillian Shriner, she approached with a loaded weapon. The cops had been chasing three criminals suspected of a hit and run in the area. They had evaded the police and escaped into the LA neighborhood.
According to the cops, Jillian Shriner came from her house brandishing a semiautomatic firearm. The police told her to drop the weapon multiple times, but she instead allegedly leveled the pistol at them. Multiple shots rocked the small, sleepy LA neighborhood, and the rockstars wife was hit in the shoulder.
She was then taken to hospital to be treated for her wounds before being escorted to jail. Later, she was released on a $1 million bail. This week Jillian Shriner has appeared in court and pleaded not guilty to the charges being held against her.
According to ABC 7, she is being held on charges of willful discharge of a firearm in a grossly negligent manner and assault with a semiautomatic firearm. Jillian Shriner will stand trial once again on June 18 to determine whether there is enough evidence to find her guilty of the crimes.
