Gareth, the rising country star from Northern Ireland, released his EP Steal Your Thunder earlier this month. But Gareth fans rejoice, as he's sitting on a boatload of new songs that he can't wait to show you all.

The Irish country singer recently sat down with me to talk about his recent EP, and what's next in store for him. That's when I learned of his incredible collection of unreleased songs.
Steal Your Thunder is an EP of five tight songs. After months of songwriting, he got together with his manager and sifted through all of his tracks. Out of all his songs, there were five that were simply too good to leave out.
"These 5 on this EP... are the best songs that I've got so far, in my opinion," he said of his recent release. Gareth is understandably proud of the EP he's put together.
"It's got a mix of upbeat songs, some slow songs, and I think it's got a good balance," he explained. "It's got something for everyone."
That I agree with. I feel like everyone will take something personal away with them when listening to Steal Your Thunder. Ultimately, though, Gareth just wants "people to feel good."
And, in case you were curious, it turns out that "Steal Your Thunder" is Gareth's favorite song on the EP. So it's no wonder that it's the leading single.
But with Steal Your Thunder, Gareth is just getting started.
Gareth Has Even More Songs Rearing To Go
The months of solid songwriting has served Gareth more than just the EP. He has a wealth of songs that are ready to be mastered and cut in the studio.
"A lot of the songs we wrote we're planning on bringing into an album, sometime this year," he shared with me. Although he's not sure about the schedule, he's already looking at another album.
Alongside the album, however, Gareth also has a number of songs he wants to release as singles. And we can look forward to them this year.
"A lot more songs coming out this year. I can't wait to showcase that very soon," he said. Us Gareth fans are already eating good with the EP, but Gareth isn't done cooking.
To Gareth, songwriting is a skill he wants to constantly practice and get better at. "We're never going to stop writing when I have downtime. I just try to get better at songwriting and get better songs than even I have now, you can always get better."
Well if that's the case, I can't wait for what he has in store for us.
