Chris Hager was part of Mickey Ratt, which later became Ratt. Later in life, he was part of the band Rough Cutt. Ratt saw success in the 80s, and still receive well over a million monthly listeners today.

It is unknown how Chris Hager died. His departure was revealed in an Instagram post by Stephen Pearcy, who was a former lead singer of the band.

In the post, he wrote, "This morning I'm very saddened to hear about the passing of our dear friend, guitarist and musician Christopher (Chris) Hager," he revealed. It is unknown who told him.

"Chris and I started Mickey Ratt together in San Diego 1977 and in moving to L.A. actually created the band RATT in 1981."

Continuing, Pearcy wrote, "Chris was an amazing person, a great guitarist, songwriter and so committed to being just that. He went on to create a few projects over the years with Sarge, Rough Cutt, Woop and the Count and our solo project Pearcy/Hager."

Song Recorded Before Chris Hager's Death To Still Be Released

In the announcement, Pearcy revealed that they were working on songs together leading up to his death. He has assured fans that they will still be released.

"We were actually working on new songs recently, and they will be heard."

To conclude the tribute, Pearcy said, "I'm at loss my friend, we've been through a lot together. God bless you brother."

I'm sure Hager would want his music to still be released for his fans.

Fans of the singer have taken online to share their thoughts over his passing, and his incredible career.

"Very sad.... I enjoyed all of his work. I am sorry for your loss... Sending prayers, love and light," wrote one.

"Another one gone. Truth is, im surprised any of us made it this far. It was some fast times," commented another.

"I'm sorry to hear of this news! My sincere condolences to you, other friends, and family. I'm praying for y'all. This is tough stuff," well-wished one more.

I hope his family and friends get the time and space they need to process this devastating loss.
