Their expert ministrations worked. The baby was crying in just 10 seconds. What the officers did lasted only a minute. And it was clearly successful. Per the outlet, Corporal Coley-Hebron calmed the woman who had rushed the struggling infant over to them. "She's fine, we've got it...She's OK," the corporal told her.

What these officers did was truly miraculous. They saved a young life by knowing exactly what to do and maintaining their composure throughout the unnerving ordeal. The two know each other very well; they have actually worked as partners for five years. Also, per the outlet via Fox 5 Atlanta, "...[T]heir chief Brandon Criss requires five times the amount of training for incidents like this than the state standard....' The extra training they had absolutely paid off.
"We were actually having a conversation about working juvenile calls, and I was telling Arnold in my five years of being here I hadn't worked a call like that, and I'm not ready to," Corporal Coley-Hebron observed. She uttered that just 17 minutes before her and Lieutenant Arnold's dramatic lifesaving incident with the infant took place.
