The “Very Rock ‘n’ Roll” Country Artist Stevie Nicks Says Is Her “Favorite Person To Sing With Ever”

Stevie Nicks is an artist who does not need to be introduced. She is one of the most infamous names in music. If you don't know her for some crazy reason, you'll definitely know her band, Fleetwood Mac. She has recently revealed her favorite artist to sing with. And to be honest, they are not the likely suspects.

Fleetwood Mac Counterpart?

As I stated before, it wasn't any of the artists that made Fleetwood Mac such a hit.

Now, I certainly could have assumed she might not have shouted out Lindsey Buckingham. The man with whom she had quite a tumultuous relationship. However, while their relationship may have been brutal, it made for some gorgeous music. Their voices mixed in a way that simply can not be described using words. I mean, honestly, just look at any song off their biggest album, Rumors.

Perfection. There is not a single song on this album that isn't a timeless classic.

Additionally, the other prong of the glorious three-point harmonies the band was known for was also not Stevie's choice. Christine McVie. The talented drummer for Fleetwood Mac. Plus, he also clearly had a fantastic voice, considering the popularity that Fleetwood reached. The three of them together had to be doing something write, no?

I guess there were just too many emotions tied to those voices for Stevie. Even though, as I have stated before, the three of them have made magic together.

Who Was Her Choice?

Indeed, the choice she ended up making was a wild surprise. Whereas the names I have mentioned so far helped earn her popularity. It was, conversely, the fun of music-making that made the choice easy for her.

As a result of Fleetwood Mac's dissolution, Stevie Nicks found herself in the unique position to book some solo features. And book them she did. As a matter of fact, she ended up singing all over the place.

She sang with the likes of Don Henley, Tom Petty, and even Kenny Loggins. Conversely, it wasn't any of these solo acts that claimed the top spot. The Chicks' lead vocalist, Natalie Maines, claimed the top spot.

Indeed, in fact, here were Stevie's own words on the lead singer. "Natalie Maines is my [favorite] person to sing with, ever." She added, "I could happily be a part of the Chicks. Even though they're billed as country artists, they're very rock 'n' roll."

And not that the superstar needs my approval, but that is an excellent choice.
